Welcome! I’m Dr. Herb Peluzzo, a lifelong educator, technology specialist, and visionary public school leader in Central New Jersey. Over the past 20 years, I’ve dedicated my career to empowering students, teachers, and communities through innovative educational practices and transformative technology integration.

I founded Paratus Plus in 2023 to provide consulting and training services for school districts and public school districts, helping school teachers, leaders, and business owners streamline their technology operations and establish plans for integrating AI in their organizations!

💡 Leading the Future of AI in Education

As Supervisor of Educational Technology, I’ve spearheaded district-wide initiatives that position our schools at the forefront of AI integration:

• AI Guidelines & Use Scale: Developed comprehensive protocols for K–12 staff and 5–12 students to ensure responsible, supported, and equitable AI use.
• AI Roadmap to 2030: A strategic vision for AI and educational technology, presented to the Board of Education and community stakeholders.
• AI Advisory Committees: Facilitated inclusive collaboration through:

  • NextGen Student AI Teams 
  • AI Parent Think Tank (NJPSA Educational Viewpoints 2024 edition, article on Page 71)

Paratus Plus

Paratus Plus was founded in 2024 to help out organizations understand and develop their own educational technology plans. Through our initial goal and vision, Paratus Plus blossomed outside the educational space and now works with all levels of businesses and clients.

Dr. Herb Peluzzo, East Brunswick Public Schools K-12 Supervisor of Educational Technology, tackled the tough topic of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education during a presentation for the district’s Parent University held at Hammarskjold School.

“AI is a tool,” began Peluzzo, using an extended metaphor that involved hammers, mustard, and how Ai helped him around the house.  He encouraged the audience to find a “silly problem” – like an excess of condiments – that can be solved to solve small problems, as a way to see the technology’s extended use.
